Central Florida K9 (CFK9) in Eustis, FL. kicked off there 2024 dock diving by hosting an Ultimate Air Dogs (UAD) event this last Sunday. With a small but eager turn out, the one day event had plenty of high flying pups and big splashes. Milt Wilcox (Owner and founder of UAD) was on hand to help train judges and entertain the crowd on the PA.
The showing was boosted by a notable turn out of the Chiefland, FL. Tracks K9 club. The weather remained wonderfully warm but not hot with a cool breeze and scattered clouds throughout the day. Additional CFK9 personnel were on hand to assist and the boarding a training departments of CFK9 stayed busy. Dog families dropping off or picking up their dogs from boarding were entertained to stop and watch the dock diving games through the day.

The Central Florida K9 facility resembles an equestrian center more than a dog training and sports facility. With a long driveway entrance, fields separated by pasture fencing and several buildings for indoor classes, activities, an office, shop, and large kennels including a grooming state. The facility is manned 24/7 by kennel staff and available for most dog sports and activities. With a permanent Dock Diving pool, open acreage, woods, including a private dog park and ample parking (limited RV hookups), the venue is becoming a top spot for many events in central Florida.
Ultimate Air Dogs (CFK9)
Ultimate Air Dogs dock diving is one of the oldest dog sports organizations in the U.S. Former Detroit Tigers player Milt Wilcox launched UAD in 2005 with the goal of keeping the dock diving games close to their "grass roots" and family friendly.
There are a variety of games, from traditional long jump, and new games of "fetch it", "catch it" and "chase it" to give the teams a variety of challenges. With a selection of different games, there's something for everyone.

CFK9 have three more dock diving events in 2024 and offer pool time and swimming training at their permanent dock. Dock Diving is a new activity at this beautiful venue and word of mouth is yet to reach many in Central Florida, but this is just a beginning and we look forward to seeing attendance at their events grow in the year ahead.
