Long beloved Dock Dogs site in trouble
The FLorida West Coast Air Dogs have been one of Central Florida's most belowed dog sports venues for years,. The recent sale of the the property it resides on has resulted in suddenly critical moment for this club as they need to relocate soon!
Owner Kevin Whittaker posted on Facebook: May 24th is the deadline to move FWCAD off the property as the new buyer plans to build homes where the dock is currently located.
We are actively looking for a site to move the club too and hopefully stay in Manatee/Sarasota county area. We are considering all possible location's and working thru details of any possible sites. If anybody knows someone that may have a good place for FWCAD to move too let me know.
Main requirements: Electricity for pump Water - Well or city Lot size 150ft by 250ft to allow for onsite parking at events. This is size of lot we are on currently.
We are going to try and stay open for dock diving and training thru the weekend of May 8th/9th. At that point I will have to start draining the pool and taking down the dock and moving club equipment to a new site or storage.
