An early Spring comes to Florida and the Suwannee Valley Kennel Club Dog Show near Gainesville, Florida hosted two great days of all-breed AKC Fast CAT. For those who do no know, this sport is the canine equivalent of doggy drag racing. Times are taken as the dogs pursue the lure down a 1000 foot track and it makes for great images. The Suwannee Valley Kennel Club had help from folks who know fast dog at the Greater Ocala & Gainesville Lure Coursing Club who managed the event. Fast CAT is one of the most popular of the newer dog sports the AKC has added in recent years, and a common event at dog shows around the state.
