Southern Most Sighthounds (SOMOS)
an amazing day of some of North Americas best competitors both small and large converged of the Williston Horse Park in Florida.
Dogs from across the USA participated in the multiple Sighthound (Gazehound) events (NOTRA/LGRA/WRA) and addition of "All Other K9" (AOK9) means all dogs get to play now. With breeds as diverse as Border Collies to Bulldogs racing for the ribbons.

You may be aware of Sighthound racing or Lure coursing. Fast CAT has also been very popular for all breeds, but the new AOK9 is all-breed but on a much larger track and multiple dogs released from a box.
With the larger tracks and more experienced race experience of the SOMOS team, the races are carefully monitored for safety from many angles. From the dogs fitness, to the equipment to several safety observers on each race.
The SOMOS club have been very positive in helping new comers, so the only thing to prevent you from brining your own lure obsessed pup, is you!
Muzzles are requires, but the community is a great one and eager to help newcomers. With small breeds, there may not be a loaner on hand, so check in with the club ahead of time.
